FFL Transfer

At Mad Wolf Armory, we gladly accept incoming firearm transfers. To ensure a smooth process, we ask that you contact one of our associates before initiating the transfer.

Please note that in compliance with New Jersey law, all firearms purchased from out-of-state dealers or online retailers must be transferred through a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer within the state of New Jersey. We’re here to assist you every step of the way.

NOTE: FFL TRANSFERS are ONLY processed Monday through Friday including; receiving, NICS input, disposition, etc.

Service Fees

The transfer fee is $50, plus the state-mandated $15 NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) fee. Outgoing transfers are also $50, in addition to any shipping and handling charges. Please ensure that you provide proper packaging for outgoing transfers; if packaging is not provided, an additional fee will apply.

Please note that there is NO WARRANTY on transferred firearms. We recommend checking with Mad Wolf Armory first to see if we can acquire the same firearm for you at a comparable price. A storage fee of $25 will be charged for every seven (7) days that any firearm is held after you have been notified. All incoming transfers must originate from a valid FFL (Federal Firearms License) holder.

HOW TO TRANSFER FIREARMS

  1. To begin the process, please send an ‘Incoming FFL Transfer’ email, Make sure your place of purchase contacts us via email at FFL@madwolfus.com to request our FFL details, and we’ll handle the rest!

  2. Once the firearm arrives at Mad Wolf Armory, we will verify that it complies with all New Jersey State gun laws. If any NJ compliance work is required, we will provide you with an estimate before proceeding with the work.

  3. You’ll need to complete the NICS background check and successfully fill out a Form 4473. Please remember to bring your FID (Firearm Purchaser Identification Card), a valid driver’s license. All addresses on these documents must match; otherwise, we will not be able to proceed with the transfer.

  4. WE WILL CONTACT YOU WHEN YOUR TRANSFER IS READY FOR PICKUP. We understand the anticipation can be exciting, but please allow up to 48 hours from the time of delivery before reaching out to inquire about the status of your firearm.”
